Definition
Green technology can be defined as a technology developed based on renewable natural resources in order to reduce environment harms from its production and usage.
Exemplification
There is a series of products which derives from renewable sources (bioplastic, recyclable raw material, hydrogen fuel, etc). To illustrate this example we have Dell's compact desktop, a computer made of 95% recyclable material and 70% less consumption than the ordinary desktops.
In the cellphone category, the Samsung's E200 Eco is made of bioplastic built up from natural plants like corn. Every ton of bioplastic used to produce the device is capable of reducing up to 2,16 ton of CO2, if compared to ordinary plastic made from oil.
Finally, the automobiles are also getting greener: the Pac-Car II is a ecological car powered by hydrogen that weights 30 kg and make 5385 km with a single gas liter.
